Bill Mackenzie blowing in the wind. I love to grow clematis. Right now, the evergreen and winter flowering ones are scrambling over the fence outside my kitchen window. But, the stars of the show are the seed heads of the tangutica. Delicate yellow flowers from May until September . Gardeners are optimists - we plant tiny seeds, label them, water them and then let nature do it's thing. My window ledges are full of seed trays and the greenhouse bursting with things I've overwintered. Yes, I use plastic seed trays - these ones are over 20 years old - every season they're carefully washed and stored for next year. I also use toilet roll & kitchen roll tubes, but my favourite biodegradeable plant pots are the card wrappers my @unionroasted coffee is sold in - the sweet peas always do well in them! #girlgardener #mygardenrightnow #permaculture #forestgarden # growyourownfood #upcycle #moderngardens #allotmenteer #higgledyseeds #getsowing #seasonalstories

Good morning Mr Magpie! My mum always told me, if you see a lone magpie you should always salute and say good day to ward off bad luck! Some country superstitions stay with you for life!

I do love the snowdrops. The garden is full of their tiny flowers. Daffodills and crocus are flowering too, tulips are coming up fast - in fact the garden would look perfect if the pigeons would stop shredding the winter greens! #myseasonalhome #mygardentoday #girlgardener #snowdrops

Wrap up warm, gather wood, fill bird feeders, check the greenhouse, drink hot coffee whilst sitting on a garden bench.
