October Published Patterns #3

Crochet Coasters, Issue 17 Craftseller Magazine

These pretty crochet drinks coasters started life as a gift for a friend who loves colour. Just appearing in print now, their “first draft” spent many summer evenings¬† on duty in the garden. They make fabulous presents and can easily be made with scraps of cotton yarn.

I’ll be back soon with the last of this months published patterns, some news and few ideas for fabulous Christmas shopping.

Happy making

Craftseller Issue 16

Craftseller issue 16 hits the shops today with a couple of very easy crochet patterns for you. Also, a rather fabulous free gift. I am already planning how to decorate these cute wooden hearts… there are already some photos appearing on twitter!

Competition Time

I was recently invited to take part in a competition organised by HomecraftsAfter I took a look at their website, I agreed to take part and a lovely box of mixed yarn arrived on my doorstep this week.

I’ve already had my hook out and I’ll show you my finished projects shortly. Meantime, do go take a look at Homecrafts.¬† I’ve already spotted one or two things I’ll be using for future designs, including this. Meanwhile I’m off to finish a couple of rather lovely designs for Craftseller magazine….

Wish me luck in the Homecrafts competition – closing date is 7th August and I’ll post my finished designs before then.

Next, these pretty little hair clips, are just the thing for summer holidays, take tiny scraps of yarn and can be made in minutes.¬† This issue is packed with summer inspiration and I’m delighted to be included.

I’d love to know what you think of these latest designs, so do let me know if you are inspired to pick up your hook.
