Woolfest Lucky Dip and a Giveaway

Knitted sheep at Woolfest 2011

OK, so I know it’s silly to get so excited about my long weekend at Woolfest, but apart from all the yarn I’m planning to buy, I’m most excited about the chance to catch up with friends. Some of them will be having stalls, like Debbie and Vicki, while others are bloggers or customers – even a few pupils – who will just be there to soak up the woolly atmosphere.

I already planned to buy a few goodies for  a friend who can’t make it, then had a little idea … why not invite all of you to take part in spreading a bit of woolly goodness around the blogosphere?

Here’s the plan: If you’re going to Woolfest, sign up to send a little woolly treat for someone who won’t be there.  The only rule is it must be wool or Cumbrian themed and something easy to post. Or, if you’re not going, sign up to post a little something to brighten someone’s day, it could be sweets, buttons, a little something you’ve made. The choice is yours, but this is not meant to be expensive, so think creatively.

After I get back I’ll be in touch with everyone who has signed up to let them know who to post their goodies to. This won’t be a straight swap, you won’t necessarily get a parcel from the person you’re sending yours to and you only have to send one parcel. Please let me know if you’re happy to post abroad too.

If you want to take part, leave a comment here and let me know if you’re going to Woolfest or not.  I don’t need your address, just leave your email on the comment form or let me know your ravelry username or where to find you on twitter so I can get in touch.

Finally, I’ll be bringing back a little Woolfest themed giveaway, everyone who leaves a comment on this post will be entered.

You must leave your comment before 6pm UK time on Friday 22nd June. The  giveaway winner will be chosen at random  on Monday 25th June.

Good luck!

Tracey x

  7. I’m excited for you just reading your blog post. What a great idea. I’m not going to woolfest (I’m soooo jealous of those who are) but would love to join in the swap and I’m happy to post abroad. I’ve just designed something small that I absolutely love, so I have a good idea of what I’ll be sending. Have a fab time and take me with you in your thoughts. I’ll definitely plan Woolfest into my diary for next year xx Lynne xx
