As you know, there isn’t much time for “me knitting” these days, but desperate for something indulgent I managed to squeeze in something just for me last week, it’s not blocked yet, but I’ve worn it all weekend – that rainy weather made me glad I had something warm and cosy.
The yarn is Fyberspates Scrumptious Chunky, which I first bought to make the Uffington and the pattern is “Owls Jumper” by Kate Davies, you can buy adult and child versions of this pattern from Kate’s website. I have both and will soon be casting on to make one for a special little girl and a lovely little boy (funny how all that baby knitting leads to toddler knitting)! The combination of fabulous yarn and a super easy pattern made this a joy to knit. (Special thanks to Sue B at Fibre & Clay’s knit group for reminding me this is a pattern that suits everyone – whatever their age or body shape). I had 43g left out of the 5th hank of Scrumptious, so it feels like a bargain too!
I’m almost finished my Christmas crochet commissions, and here’s a sneaky peek of some Jubilee / 4th July inspired crochet you’ll be able to buy soon on Craftsy.
Any way … back to commissions …
Happy making everyone x
