It’s been a while since I filled you in on the things I’m loving – family life is “full on” just now and time in front of the laptop has to take a back seat. That’s exactly the way it should be, but I wanted to take few moments to share a couple of special things with you.
First off, if you haven’t discovered Urvashi’s blog yet, go take a look, writing as the Botanical Baker you may recognise her from the Great British Bake Off. Her recipes and posts are an inspiration and I’ve been loving her posts about Mexico this week.
Secondly, I’ve been busy partnering up those of you taking part in the Snail Mail Holiday Swap I’m running with my lovely pal Emma. I can’t wait to see what you all come up with to make for your swaps. Special thanks to Jemma, Sarah, Heike, Dawn, Charlotte and Ali for signing up. Emma will be setting up a Flickr group so swappers can post photos and everyone taking part will be getting an email from us soon with a reminder of the “rules”. I’m busy knitting for my swap partner – but there will be no sneaky peeks here I’m afraid!
Finally, I’m loving this gorgeous shawl I have just finished. Destined to be a special gift for a very special lady about to embark on the adventure we call Motherhood.
Well, that’s it for now. Next time I’ll be back with news from the allotment.
Happy making (and baking).
