For months now I’ve been intrigued by many fellow bloggers making reference to the “Being Creative” project. Finally, today I took a look at Julia Crossland’s website and discovered what it’s all about – and you know what – I’m in! It might be a bit late in the year , but what the heck it looks like fun and I might even learn something.
Do go and take a look for yourselves, it’s a beautiful site and full of inspiration. I’ve already decided on my “autumn” project. It’s blocking at the moment, but as soon as it’s unpinned I’ll share the snuggly goodness (hint – this will make a great present – and it’s very “on trend”). it’s also a great crochet project for someone new to the craft and bound to make you look super craftsy!
Until then I’ll leave you with a peek at what’s just come off my hook – these super cute and cosy fingerless mittens – pattern in the process of being written up and a sample is on display at Fibre and Clay in Knutsford. This is also suitable for a beginner and I promise the pattern will be available by the end of the month, just in time for Christmas gift making.
Craft and be happy.

/ September 18, 2011I had a look at ‘Being Creative’ …… I was tempted, but I don’t have enough hours in the day as it is!! The fingerless mitts look lovely – it’s just about cold enough to start wearing them!!

/ September 20, 2011I’m heading over right now to check on Being Creative. I love your fingerless gloves. The yarn is a beautiful color. How does it feel? Is it soft or is it itchy? Can hardly wait to see your new creative being blocked. Have a great rest of today.

/ September 21, 2011The yarn is a mix of Alpaca and cotton and surprisingly soft and fluffy Valarie. It doesn’t “shed” as much as I thought it would either.
