Helpful people (see links)

This is a list of people who have helped me on my social media / web based adventures.  Since 2007 these are the friends and colleagues who have patiently sat me down in front of a computer screen and told me which buttons to press, put up with my early tweets, answered questions or  passed on hints and tips. I’ll always be grateful to them for welcoming me into their world. Even though I’ll never know as much as them I like to think that someone, somewhere has benefitted from the skills and enthusiasm I’ve passed on. Some of them I’ve never met face to face, just shared time on twitter or online networks, but all the same I think of them as friends. The most valuable lesson they’ve taught me is that the qualities I value in the “real” world, patience, tolerance, collaboration and kindness can be found in online communities too, and that if I was ever in a jam, its people like these I’d want around me.
